(no subject) [Aug. 21st, 2006|08:38 pm]
After a long and draining week at work, we slogged our way across town (during a down-pour) to a little restaurant in Surry Hills called 'Bali on Bourke'.

We had read in 'Good living' that they have a $23 banquet. And it was honest, authentic Indonesian (not that I am an authority on these things). There were the oldies - ran-dang curry, ga do ga do - and new things (for me), like the potato crouquet with beef and the dessert of the livid green egg pancake, containing coconut (amongst other things).

I am still feeling full now.

So, here I am, 8:45pm on a Friday night in my pjs, the footy on the telly and me in front of the computer... Living life in the fast lane!

But, after my first week back at work after a two week holiday, I am wrecked.

Might drag myself off to bed soon.

Will journal about Orange (last weekend) soon too.

    1st entry [Jul. 9th, 2006|04:46 pm]
This is my very first entry.

It is Sunday, and I am very much feeling it. While I have a list of domestic chores planned for this evening, today has been rather rewarding.

I got to stay in bed until 12:15pm, then got dressed. We walked down and had a picnic with some of A's school friends, and watched all their kiddies run around, and destroy all the food put out on the picnic blankets.

Then, we came home, chatted, potted, I went for a walk, and here I am.

    Sunday has been great.

I am reading 'Zorro' by Isabel Allende.
